Community Outreach offers workshops that help people to develop coping skills, increase awareness of social needs, and remain active participants in their communities. Suggestions for workshop topics are always welcome.

Community Outreach attends meetings with Senior’s Groups to share information on various topics such as grants and upcoming workshops.

Community Outreach provides assistance to individuals in accessing government programs such as:

• Canada Pension Plan:

  • Retirement Pension
  • Disability Pension
  • Death Benefits
  • Survivor’s Pension / Children’s Benefits

• Old Age Security

  • Guaranteed Income supplement
  • Allowance for the Survivor

• Government of Alberta

  • Seniors Financial Assistance
  • Special Needs Assistance

• Volunteer Income Tax program

  We also coordinate a Volunteer Income Tax program that enables low-income residents to complete the tax returns needed to continue to access government benefits.
