Provincial Parks can be found from the east end of Yellowhead County to the west end. Two of the most popular are Pembina River Provincial Park and William Switzer Provincial Park.
Private campgrounds abound, and new ones are opening every year. The Edson and Hinton areas have several privately run campgrounds to choose from.

West Fraser FRMA Campgrounds
In the Hinton area, the number is almost unlimited given the access to the backcountry and the campsites run by the Foothills Recreation Management Associaton.
