A development permit is required for any residential development in Yellowhead County. This includes manufactured homes, mobile homes, modular homes, single-detached dwellings, duplexes, townhouses and apartments. Accessory buildings, such as shops or garages, also require a development permit, as do fences over 1.0m in the front yard and 2.0m in the backyard. This application form lays out the details of any planned development. Yellowhead County Development Officers ensure that the application complies with the rules for development. These rules are set in the Land Use Bylaw.

  • Abandoned Wells Form
  • Floor, Building or Construction Plans

If Required by the Development Authority:

  • Roadside Development Permit
  • Any technical reports, studies or prior approvals
  • Any additional plans, agreements or information
