A development permit is required for any commercial or industrial development in Yellowhead County. This includes any retail or food establishment, personal services like gas stations or veterinary clinics, natural resource extraction like gravel pits, or industrial uses such as factories, oil & gas services, work camps, storage or warehousing. This application form lays out the details of any planned development. Yellowhead County Development Officers ensure that the application complies with the rules for development. These rules are set in the Land Use Bylaw.
