Learn how to grow your own oyster mushrooms with a take-home grow kit and accompanying webinar with a fungi enthusiast on March 3rd, 2022, 7 pm-9 pm. Tara Stephens, a budding mycologist and the co-owner of Fungi Akuafo, will take participants through the basic ecology of fungi, followed by step-by-step instructions for your grow kit and some additional tips on how to use your grow kit to grow mushrooms in your backyard.

Kits will be available for pick-up from either the Edson or Wildwood County office around the week of February 24th – March 1st. Once the kits arrive from the growers, emails will be sent to confirm when they’re ready for pick-up.

Items needed to grow your oyster mushrooms successfully are a small spray/mister bottle and a large clear plastic bag that will serve as a humidity tent.

*Printed instructions will be included when you pick up your kit, in addition to the step-by-step instructions given in the webinar.

Register early as the number of kits available is limited. The cost for both the oyster mushroom grow kit and access to the webinar is $20.00. Maximum 1 kit per household.
