Fire Restriction in Effect for Yellowhead County Fire Permit Area – This is for the Yellowhead County Fire Permit Area only and not for all of Yellowhead County and Edson and Hinton. Please visit www.albertafirebans.ca or download the app for the most up-to-date information.

A fire restriction prohibits the use of wood campfires on public land but does allow wood campfires inside provincial campgrounds and private property. Fire permits may be restricted, suspended or cancelled and no new fire permits will be issued.

Not Allowed:

• Safe wood campfires on public lands
• Fire Permits (Restricted or Suspended)
• Fireworks or Exploding Targets

Allowed:

• Safe wood campfires in a designated campground
• Safe wood campfires on private land
• Safe wood campfire in backyard fire pits
• Barbeque – Charcoal briquette
• Propane/natural gas-powered appliances
• Indoor wood fire
• Open flame oil devices
