Each year, Yellowhead County offers a number of grants to help our community’s registered non-profits with their recreational offerings.
There are 5 recreational grants available to community groups from the Yellowhead County Recreation Board. For information on any grants please call 780-723-4800.

Available Grants
Community Hall Operational Grant
Registered non-profit groups will be eligible for operational assistance if they are operating a community hall.
Grant Deadline: March 31(reviewed once annually).
Outdoor Amenity Operational Grant
Registered non-profit groups will be eligible for operational assistance if they are operating an outdoor amenity. Amenities include: playgrounds, ski trails, outdoor skating rinks, ball diamonds, soccer pitch, riding arena, hiking trails.
Grant Deadline: March 31(reviewed once annually).
Community Hall/Outdoor Amenity Capital Assistance Grant
Registered non-profit groups will be eligible to apply for funding assistance with capital projects which could include renovations, repairs, furniture purchases, equipment purchases, new facility, new outdoor amenity, etc.
Grant Deadlines: September 30, December 31, March 31, June 15 (reviewed quarterly).
Recreation Program & Event Grant
Registered non-profit groups will be eligible to apply for funding up to $2200 for programs and events that provide cultural, fitness, sport and/or other recreational opportunities to the community.

Recreation & Culture Initiatives Fund
Registered non-profit groups will be eligible to apply for funding for new initiatives in recreation and culture facilities, programs and services that will have ongoing benefits to the community.
