Fire Ban Declaration – Effective July 10th, 2024

A fire ban is in effect for the Yellowhead County Fire Protection Area
Please be advised that a complete Fire Ban is now declared for the Yellowhead County Fire Protection Area, effective 4:00 p.m. July 10th, 2024. The ban will remain in place until further notice.
- All existing outdoor wood burning heating, cooking and recreational fires must be extinguished, and no new fires can be lit. This includes campfires and cooking fires,
- All fire permits are suspended, and no new permits will be issued,
- Natural gas, propane, charcoal/briquette fires for the purpose of outdoor heating or cooking are not affected by this ban and remain a permitted use at this time,
- Transfer stations will not accept wood products in a fire ban area.
