Now Recruiting for:

• Library Board [1 position, 3-year term]
  This five member management board is responsible for the provision of library services to county residents. The board provides for the library services in the three rural libraries of Evansburg, Wildwood, and Green Grove (Niton) as well as providing funding to the libraries in Edson and Hinton. Board members develop the annual budget, develop library policies and ensure provision of library services as per the Libraries Act of Alberta. The Board meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 9:30 AM at the Wildwood Library.
• Recreation Board [1 position, 3-year term]
  This nine member advisory board provides advice to council regarding the provision of recreation and parks services. The board reviews grant applications from community groups and determines funding within certain limits. It provides recommendations to council and administration regarding recreation facilities, programs and support to groups providing recreational activities. Board meetings will occur quarterly on Mondays at 9:30 AM at the county office in Edson.
• Agricultural Services Appeal Committee [3 positions, 1-year term]
  This committee adjudicates property owner appeals of orders and penalties issued by the County’s Agricultural Services pursuant to the provincial acts the County enforces. This committee will meet as required. Training required, costs for training will be covered. Term will be January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024.
