Join Yellowhead County Agricultural Services and Master Gardener Kim Ross for a two-hour class on growing your veggies indoors. The course will be held online via zoom on February 2nd from 6:30pm-8:30pm
When your stored garden produce runs out and you head to the grocery store to stock up on veggies. You bring them home, take that first bite and it’s just not the same thing! In this Indoor Vegetable Garden class, Kim will teach you how to set up a simple station to grow your own veggies, herbs, and microgreens all through winter. Enjoy those fresh, crisp veggies all year round!
Kim Ross is a fourth-generation farm girl who spent her summers picking peas in her mother’s garden and traveling the prairie land around the farm with her Grandparents looking for the best saskatoons to pick. Producing food was a way of life and it’s a tradition Kim continued with her own children! From her 26,000 square foot no till garden that produces vegetables, fruit, and fresh herbs, to producing vegetables all winter long, Kim is an avid grower that enjoys sharing with other gardeners. Kim is a Master Gardener and is working on her Prairie Horticulture Certificate in both the Greenhouse Crop production and Vegetable and Fruit Production streams.
The cost to join this webinar is $5.00 and unfortunately cannot be recorded so viewing will only be available live on the evening of February 2nd. Register by calling Yellowhead County’s Wildwood office at 1-800-814-3935.
