Wildfire EWF-067 near Marlboro was downgraded this afternoon to being held. It is approximately 2.6 hectares. Alberta Wildfire and a water truck remain on scene working to extinguish the wildfire..

July 11, 2025 4:30pm Update:
Alberta Wildfire is actively fighting the fire with assistance from YCFD, along with heavy equipment and airtankers. The wildfire is located 2.5 km north of Highway 16, 2 km northwest of Marlboro and 23 km west of Edson. In addition, YCFD crews are on site with sprinkler protection equipment in the communities of Millers Lake and Marlboro to safeguard the areas, along with RCMP presence.

A new wildfire has been reported northwest of Marlboro (EWF-067). It is currently approximately 3 hectares and classified as out of control. YCFD and Alberta Wildfire are on scene. There is no immediate threat to the public. Please note that smoke is visible from numerous locations and may drift into Edson.
