It’s that time of year again, when residents of Yellowhead County get a chance to brag about their beautiful properties.  The 22nd Annual County Pride Contest is up and running starting July 14, 2025… so get out your camera and get snapping pictures of your beautiful yards!

🌸Here’s How It Works:🌸

1. Snap some photos of your beautiful yards.
2. Submit photos following the submission guidelines at the bottom of the page (make sure you read through them before submitting!)
3. The public will vote on their favourite yards. The top 3 entrants will win a gift card to their favourite local greenhouse!
4. A video will be made to give everyone a virtual tour of the beautiful properties and highlight our winners.

🌻Contest Timelines:🌻

• Submissions: July 14 at 9am to July 25 at 4:30pm
• Public Online Voting: July 28 to August 5
• Winner Announcement and Virtual Tour: August 12

🌹Prizes:🌹

• 1st Place: $100 gift card to your favourite local greenhouse
• 2nd Place: $75 gift card to your favourite local greenhouse
• 3rd Place: $50 gift card to your favourite local greenhouse

🌷Contest Rules:🌷

1. A maximum of four photos can be submitted
2. This contest is open to Yellowhead County Residents only
3. Photos must be of your own yard
4. Submission Guidelines must be followed
5. Make sure you have the rights to the photos you are submitting. For example, if they were taken by a professional photographer you may not have the rights to use the photos for this purpose. To be certain it is advised that you submit photos that you yourself have taken.

🪷Submission Guidelines:🪷

• From July 14 to July 25, Yellowhead County residents can submit up to four (4) photos of their beautiful yards and gardens through the Contact Us Form on our website.
  • Choose Department Contacts and then select *County Pride Contest from the drop down menu. Fill out your contact info.
  • In the Your Message section:
    • please include the legal land description or physical address of the property you are submitting photos for (please note that your address, phone number, and email address will not be posted online, this information will only be used to verify that you are a County resident)
    • include a couple of sentences to tell us about why you’re proud of your yard, or what you love about gardening or living in Yellowhead County.
    • Note: If you need assistance emailing photos or do not have access to the internet or email please call 1-800-814-3935 and we will assist you.
• When choosing your four photos to submit:
  • Make sure they will give voters an overview of your entire yard, and include photos that focus on the parts you are most proud of (like flower beds, water features, vegetable gardens, greenhouses, landscaping, etc)
  • Please be mindful of what you do not want displayed in the photos as they will be publicized on online platforms (exclude things like young children, vehicle license plates, and valuables on the property such as quads and boats
• The deadline to submit your photos is July 25th at 4:30pm. Submissions received after this date and time will NOT be accepted.
