Exceptions for Underground Electrical Wiring
Exceptions to Policy 3200.23 were granted to allow Fortis to install underground electrical wiring along Range Roads 133, 135A, and 155A. Due to various constraints, this was deemed the best option for installing the power lines. The depth of the proposed lines is within the policy however due to adjacent existing utilities lines, pipelines and environmental features, spacing from the right of way could not meet the policy’s minimum distance from the road right-of-way, requiring the policy exception.
