Agricultural Plastics Recycling

Did you know that you can recycle your unwanted agricultural plastics in Yellowhead County? We currently have 3 locations in the county where you can drop off pre-bagged plastics such as plastic twine, silage or bale wrap, and grain bags (**Net wrap is not accepted**).

Drop off locations include:

  • Parkcourt Transfer Station
  • Wildwood Transfer Station
  • Peers Transfer Station
What is AcceptedWhat is not Accepted
– Clean & dry plastic twine, placed in a recycling bag
– Mechanically rolled or baled grain bags
– Plastic stretch bale wrap for silage and hay bales that is put into a bulk tote bag  
– Net wrap or netting
– Fiber (sisel) twine
– Nylon rope construction/camping tarps
– Fertilizer, Seed, Feed, or Pesticide containers or bags  

We also do on farm pick ups of large quantities of prebagged or rolled plastics. Please note that different types of plastics must be bagged or rolled separately otherwise they will be rejected by our recycling partners.
