Yellowhead County has built numerous parks and pump tracks in our communities. But we’ve noticed that kids aren’t staying safe while having fun.

Did you know that roughly 50% of Canadian kids aged 12-14 don’t wear a helmet when cycling? (2013/2014 Canadian Community Health Survey.)

FREE helmets are available for those in need! In return, just submit a photo of your kid(s) having fun and wearing their new helmet(s)!

To apply for a free helmet for your child, fill out our application form and bring it to our Yellowhead County office in Edson or Wildwood. For more info, call (780) 723-4800.

REMEMBER: Helmet use can decrease the risk of a serious head injury by as much as 85% and brain injury by 88%. There’s no excuse for your kid to go without a helmet.
